Plot
In the original part, viewers saw how an unknown epidemic of a deadly blood-borne virus swiftly took over the UK. The second part, "28 weeks later", told about the US army trying to restore order in devastated London. In one of the districts of the city, a "green zone" is being built, where the survivors are. However, due to a series of events, the soldiers are unable to stop the spread of the infection. So it penetrates to Europe ...

Part 1 director Danny Boyle (127 Hours, Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire, Steve Jobs, Trust) announced that he intends to personally direct the sequel: “I have a great idea for part 3, she's really good. " And the sequel will be written by Alex Garland ("Beach", "Hell", "Out of the Car", "Annihilation"). At the moment, Garland is busy directing his own projects, so it is not known when the sequel to the films "28 Days Later" and "28 Weeks Later" will be released.
