Plot
Time of action - the summer of 1944 and the height of the Great Patriotic War. Dangerous and ruthless German front-line soldiers against tired, hungry, wounded and exhausted Soviet partisans.
The heroes of the story are the brave machine gunner Ephraim Lark and a young boy named Alyosha. He is only 16 years old, so Efim must be responsible for him and at all costs protect him from death. After all, there are no other people's children, mothers, wives or brothers in a war. Alyosha is like a son to Yefim.
