Plot
Young man Todd Hewitt lives with foster parents Ben and Killian (men, women were killed by an unknown germ) in Prentissstown, a town in the New World, on a planet colonized by earthlings. In Prenticestown, everyone hears the thoughts of others through what is called “noise,” a stream of images, words and sounds that leaves no private secret to the residents. Todd discovers that there is a place of absolute silence, and there are even people who can generate this silence. And the mystery that has enveloped the city requires escaping from this totalitarian world and fighting for the truth.
