About the plot
"11 silent men" - this is how the English media mockingly called the Moscow Dynamo, who came to London in November 1945 to play with the legendary clubs of Great Britain.
There have been 4 friendly matches between Dynamo and Chelsea, Cardiff City, Arsenal and Rangers, and the story is extremely interesting. It was this tour of the Soviet team and the positive outcome of the game that showed the competitiveness of our football and became the reason for the USSR Football Federation to join FIFA.
According to the recollections of eyewitnesses of those events, Dynamo were extremely taciturn and not ready for such a stir around them. The British press immediately dubbed the Soviet footballers "Eleven Silent Men in Blue Coats." but this did not stop to collect about 275 thousand spectators at all matches. The final proceeds from ticket sales were divided in half, and after all financial expenses were paid, both sides donated the remaining funds to the Stalingrad restoration fund.
