I don’t even know how Orphan Brooklyn rated me, I usually consider such films to be boring. But in the end, he watched with interest, without interruption, admiring the magnificent performance of Edward Norton, who was also a director and a screenwriter. In this film, the main character, an orphan with Tourette's syndrome, works in a private detective agency under the wing of his older friend (Bruce Willis). He intervenes in an incomprehensible scam, the secrets of which are to be solved throughout the film.
Rating: KinoPoisk - 7.1, IMDb - 6.9.
Of course, this film does not do without a "fairy tale insight" when Lionel recalls the last words of his deceased comrade and finds an important piece of the puzzle in the form of a card under his hat. But this does not take away the dignity of an interesting and exciting plot that keeps you in suspense, an excellent selection of the cast, high-quality video sequence and music.
Separately, I would like to note, as I said above, the game of Norton, who showed a nervously ill person so truthfully that you believe him and empathize with him. As much as Joaquin Phoenix's performance in The Joker is admired, I do not deny that Edward may well get an Oscar for the main male role for his role in this film.
