The classic sci-fi horror movie "The Thing" by John Carpenter is getting a reboot and will be back soon. The director confirmed the development of the new interpretation at the Fantasia International Film Festival. The project will be based not only on Carpenter's film, but also on the original film "Something from Another World" (1951). The film will also be a modern remake using the content of the lost pages of the John W. Campbell novel on which it is based. The horror master may release the tape in 2021, but so far the exact release date and trailer for the film "The Thing" is not, as well as the cast.

It is not yet known if the project will be a prequel, sequel or remake of the original "Thing". Plot details are not yet available.
The main concept of the film is the struggle of the Antarctic research team with a parasitic alien life form that can transform into other people.
