About the 1st part
Plot
Part 1 follows Mark Wahlberg as Spencer, a former cop who creates problems rather than solves them. He just got out of prison and decided to leave his native Boston for good. But of course, he is first forced to help his former boxing trainer and mentor Henry (Alan Arkin) with Hawke, a cocky and serious MMA fighter. But two of Spencer's former colleagues are killed, and he hires Hawke and his ex-girlfriend Sissy (Ilisa Schlesinger) to help investigate the case.
The plot of the 2nd part will most likely be directed to the exciting ending of the first film, in which Wahlberg's character reveals a new mystery. In general, it looks like the beginning of an entire franchise.
While having dinner with Hawke, Henry's good friend and Cissy's girlfriend, to celebrate the solving of his first case, Spencer finds himself embroiled in a news report about the arrest of the Boston fire chief. As a result of the burning of the church, two firefighters were killed. “This is a setup! I swear to God I didn't. I need help!" The fire chief shouts into the news camera. Spencer also does not believe in the validity of the accusation, and here the new gears begin to turn. Great start for the second part!
This story is based in part on Atkins' novel Slow Burn, in which Spencer and Hawk investigate a church fire and uncover a dangerous underworld in Boston.

The director's post is invariably behind Peter Berg ("Left Behind", "At Any Cost", "Windy River", "All or Nothing: Manchester City", "Trauma"). Screenplay - Brian Helgelend (Mysterious River, Anger, Los Angeles Secrets, Tales from the Crypt)

“Wahlberg is currently filming a film in Germany. I'm going to do something else before Spencer's Justice 2, but we will definitely do it. I'm sure Mark and I will be 85 or 90 years old and will still be making films together. We enjoy working with each other. "
