About the plot
ISIS occupied the Iraqi city of Mosul between 2014 and 2017. In those years, the only group that constantly fought the invaders was the special forces unit of the province of Nineveh. It consisted of local men who were injured or killed by a member of the ISIS group. Mosul is a thrilling tribute to these fighters.
Kava (Adam Bessa), 21-year-old police officer who barely survived the shootout. As the smoke clears, he meets the people who saved his life, the Nineveh Special Forces, led by Jacem (Suhail Dabbah). Kava's uncle was recently killed by ISIS. He joins the group, although the number has dwindled to a dozen with three hammis. Before his first day in the Nineveh Special Forces ends, Kava will witness the rescue of a child and the death of several colleagues, take revenge on the man who betrayed him, and take part in an ambush in the ISIS citadel.
