Plot

The film will tell about the distant future, in which mankind has settled in many distant planets. The main substance in the Universe is the spice, the struggle for the possession of which has developed between the most influential families and clans. After all, the one in whose hands the spice is, will become the ruler of the world. In the center of the confrontation is the desert planet Arrakis with its unusual inhabitants, giant sandworms and fremen wanderers hiding in caves, and most importantly - spice, which is located here. Warring kingdoms and a deadly planet. The one who controls Arrakis controls the Universe ...

The new Dune (2020) will preserve the original story and “will not be broken into millions of pieces”. The picture will have 2 parts: one about an extended prehistory of the world, which will reveal in more detail and deeply the storylines of the original book. The second will be a continuation of the initiated events. According to the director, all the multidimensionality and scale of the original novel by Frank Herbert is simply impossible to fit into just one full-length film. And only after rolling the tape in 2020 it will be possible to start developing the second part.
