The film "Outpost" (2020) is based on real events and tells about the soldiers of an American outpost on the border of Afghanistan, near the city of Kamdesh. - According to the materials of the Battle of Kamdesh, a US Army outpost was attacked by hundreds of Taliban fighters. The battle resulted in a Pyrrhic victory, as most of the outpost was destroyed: 8 Americans were killed and 27 were wounded, and the Taliban forces retreated.
