Season 3
Plot (contains spoilers)
In the first two seasons, the story of schoolgirl Hannah Baker, played by Katherine Langford, was described. The girl committed suicide due to bullying at school and violence. Before committing suicide, she specially recorded her monologues on audio tapes, in which she gives tips to classmates about who prompted her to commit suicide.
In the 3rd season, the central storyline was the murder of Bryce Walker, one of Hannah's offenders.
Season 3 ended with a finale that revealed the answer to a big mystery: Who killed Bryce Walker? It turned out to be Alex, but it was Monty who was charged with the murder.
After Monty was arrested for sexually assaulting Tyler, Ani lied to the police that Monty had killed Bryce. Standall's deputy, Alex's father, revealed that Monty was killed in prison and he is closing the case. Therefore, the murder can be blamed on the dead person in place of his son. Clay and the whole group helped cover up Alex's actions. But that was just the beginning of their problems. In the final scene, the fisherman discovers a discarded gun bag that Clay, Tony, and Tyler have hidden in the river.
The events of the new season will unfold at the prom. But before classmates can say goodbye forever, they will need to hide a dangerous secret and make difficult choices that could change their future forever.
