The Goldbergs is a popular sitcom that has entertained audiences since 2013. Season 7 ended with 23 episodes on May 13, 2020, and now fans are wondering: Will there be an 8 season of the series? The answer is yes! The release date for the episodes and the trailer for season 8 of the Goldbergs series are expected in the fall of 2020 or in 2021, if it will not be possible to resume filming due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The family series, created by Adam F. Goldberg, is heavily based on the showrunner's childhood and family, and spans the 1980s. The show demonstrates the daily life of the Goldberg family through the eyes of the younger Goldberg Adam, who is filming the events in the family.
Rating: KinoPoisk - 7.0, IMDb - 8.1.
Plot
The comedy series follows the life of a young boy who grew up in the Goldberg family in the 1980s. The youngest child Adam (S. Jambroun) is obsessed with films and spends time documenting the everyday life of his relatives on video. Mother Beverly (W. McLendon-Covey) takes care of everyone and intervenes in the life of every family member, while Father Murray (J. Garlin) takes care of his parents from the comfort of his tent.
The eldest daughter Erica (H. Orrantia) dreams of becoming a pop star, the middle son Barry (T. Gentile) is emotionally unstable, and his best friend Jeff "Madman" Schwartz (S. Lerner) is dating Erica. Grandfather Albert "Pops" Solomon (J. Segal) is a shameless don Juan who enjoys family vacations with his grandchildren almost as much as a weekly massage.
In season 7, Adam begins a romantic relationship with Brea.
Adam finally gets up the courage and asks his mother for some free space. Ahead of the annual prom, Brea expresses his admiration for going on a date with Adam. However, he is worried that he will not become the prom king. Beverly embarrasses her son by endangering a school event. Barry helps his sister Erica to be more empathetic in order to calm down his boyfriend Jeff, who is going through a tough time as his father is in the hospital.
Season 8 may be more focused on the life of Adam, who is now a teenager. Perhaps the relationship between Adam and Bray will develop rapidly. Murray may become a little more outgoing, and Beverly will continue to choke her children with overprotectiveness.

For safety reasons, the production of new episodes of the series was suspended on March 14, 2020 due to the pandemic, as a result of which the creators did not have enough time to film the planned season finale. As a result, the Goldberg family says goodbye to viewers in season 7 in one prom episode.
“It's good that we closed, but we weren't able to film our Season 7 finale,” said Hayley Orrantia, who plays Erica Goldberg. “We are very hopeful and looking forward to the eighth season, which we usually shoot in August,” she added.
