Plot
The series will unfold 20 years after the end of the first film. Vladimir Patrikeev also lives in Odessa, he has matured noticeably and continues to fight crime in the city. Patrikeev served in prison in 1937, fought in the penal battalion, and then in the reconnaissance company, but returned to civilian life to begin investigating new complex and intricate criminal cases. Already in 1946, the war ended, and the new enemy of the head of the Odessa police department stole Scythian gold in order to smuggle it to Turkey ...
Description of the first six episodes:
- 1st series. Summer, 1946. Odessa. The first year after the Great Patriotic War. Crime is on the rise; among the growing number of criminal cases, the case of surrogate vodka emerges. To carry out such a minor investigation, the criminal investigation department hires a young guard - police sergeant Zhenya Krasavina, who has not the slightest experience in detecting. At the same time, the former police major Vladimir Patrikeev, the legend of the Ugro of the 1920s, returned to the city after the war and his imprisonment and got a job as the head of the city shooting range. Patrikeev's front-line friends, Boatswain and Rezo, end up in the hospital, poisoned with fake vodka. Rezo dies and Patrikeev vows to find manufacturers. Zhenya is actively involved in the investigation, trying to follow the deductive method of his idol, Sherlock Holmes. The directors of the grocery store, which sold a dangerous forty-degree drink, are found dead. At the same time in Moscow, Lieutenant Colonel of State Security Zinoviev is preparing a state special operation to export abroad for placing in Turkish banks a part of the gold reserves of the USSR ...
- 2nd series. Lieutenant Krasavin has been awarded the rank of senior sergeant and is now the group leader. In the meantime, Krasavin offers his old comrade Patrikeev to lead the investigation unofficially, because he has no opportunity to take the former repressed back to the authorities. Patrikeev agrees for the sake of revenge for the poisoned friends and in exchange for information about the person who wrote a denunciation against him in the 39th. The colonel reveals the name of the informer - this is Goncharenko, who is still in the service and has high patrons in Moscow. Patrikeev meets Zhenya and remembers his father Handsome. Together with Krasavin, they leave to kill the head of the warehouse and face Goncharenko there. The old forensic expert Solomon Samuilovich joins Krasavin's group. In Severinovka, a moonshiner grandfather talks about his rival named Singe, who deals with "chemical" vodka. Patrikeev is taking Emmanuel to the sea. He is tormented by vague doubts that they know each other. Patrikeev learns from Solomon Samuilovich that Singe was an informer for the Romanian police during the war. In the archives of Zinaida Savelievna, Patrikeev discovers the case of Owl - the only surviving witness to Paleny's betrayal, in which he recognizes his friend. Patrikeev comes to the hospital to the Boatswain and, by the tattoo on his chest, is finally convinced that he is the Owl ...
- 4th series. Patrikeev learns from Boatswain about his poaching past, about the relationship between the bandits Kirghiz and Paleny and the woman of Paleny, Shelkoplyas, who now works as a waitress. Bauer appears at the base of Korchinsky: it turns out what exactly he is behind the underground production and, most importantly, the purchase of gold. Patrikeev and Krasavin, disguised as visitors, get to know Zoya Shelkoplyas. Goncharenko persuades Zhenya to write a report on Patrikeev. Solomon keeps a close eye on Silkoplyas, but Rose B interferes with him, who asks to look after her bag. Emmanuel asks Patrikeev to wait at the entrance to the jewelry store and, using hypnosis, steals a brooch and a pin from the owner. After the concert, Patrikeev takes Emma to a restaurant. Her former lover Bauer joins them. Emma takes Patrikeev away, and he invites her to continue the evening at his house ...
- 5th series. Zinaida Savelyevna tells Patrikeev that even before the war, Emma worked as an assistant for a blind hypnotist named Gustav Bauer: he recalls seeing Emma on stage. Goncharenko summons Krasavin to him and, showing him the case of his father-thief, whom Zhenya considered a policeman, proves that Patrikeev is his personal enemy, because it was he who put his father in prison. Krasavin runs home, barely holding back tears, but Rosa convinces Zhenya that his father was a good man, and they killed him precisely because he did not want to deal with his former friends anymore. It turns out that Gustav Bauer is alive, he lives with his son and is in fact in charge of the upcoming gold scam. The crab shows Korchinsky the emptied safe at the metal warehouse and says that he suspects Slow. The lethargic is killed. Krasavin goes to the shooter with Singe, but the bandits guess that he is a detective. Zhenya is saved by Solomon, who is watching them for safety. Singe is killed.
- 6th series. The Colonel chastises Krasavin's group for an unauthorized operation, as a result of which Paleny was killed, Cartilage lost consciousness, and there are no other ways out to the gang ...
Krasavin recognizes the crab tattoo. Exactly the same tattoo he saw on the bandit's "arrow". This drawing of the Patrickes shows the Boatswain. The Crab and the Whip blackmail Solomon with the life of his little granddaughter. Silkoplyas tells Boatswain that a man with a crab tattoo is hanging around at a metal warehouse. Thanks to his criminal past, Boatswain gets a job as a driver at a metal warehouse. Patrikeyev is identified by a witness to the robbery of a jeweler who saw him when he was waiting for Emma at the entrance. Krasavin asks Patrikeev to accept his help in the fight against the informer Goncharenko, he also offers to work together to sort out the old case of smugglers. Goncharenko makes an attempt on Patrikeev: Krasavin saves his life. After making sure that Goncharenko revealed himself when he shot at Patrikeyev, Zinoviev deals with him with poison that simulates a heart attack.
