Plot
Louis Wayne is an early 20th century English artist known for his numerous anthropomorphic depictions of cats, cats and kittens. He started drawing animals because of a stray cat named Peter, whom he and his wife Emily rescued on the street. In every artist's life there comes a moment (or, if you're lucky, moments) of pure inspiration. For Wayne, that moment came in the form of a cute stray kitten wandering around in his garden, which he and his wife later named Peter. This discovery, coupled with personal transformation, changed the course of Wayne's life and career forever.

Facts:
- During the filming, the production team faced an unusual problem - where they planned to shoot vital scenes, an illegal gypsy camp arose.
- Wayne was an English painter who lived between 1860-1939. He is most famous for his illustrations, which consistently depict anthropomorphized cats and kittens with large eyes. At a more mature age, according to some reports, he suffered from schizophrenia (although some experts dispute this statement), which, according to several psychiatrists, can be seen in his drawings.
- At the age of 23, Wayne married his sisters' governess, Emily Richardson, who was ten years his senior. At that time, the marriage was considered somewhat scandalous due to the age difference. He moved with his wife to Hampstead in north London. But soon Emily began to suffer from breast cancer and died three years later. During her illness, Emily was consoled by her beloved cat Peter, a stray black-and-white kitten, whom they rescued after hearing him meow plaintively in the rain one night.
- Despite his popularity at the time, Wayne had financial difficulties all his life. He supported his mother and sisters. Louis often sold his drawings directly without worrying about copyright protection.
