Plot
American hinterland, Knockerstiff, Ohio. The film takes place between the end of World War II and the start of the Vietnam campaign. The inconsolable Willard Russell, the hero of the Second World War, is ready to do anything to save his wife Charlotte, who is dying of cancer, and begins to engage in sacrifice.
