Plot
The events of the picture will take viewers to the end of the 20s of the last century. A favorite of the Soviet regime, a national poet, as he was called, Sergei Yesenin decides to flee the USSR. And his ex-wife, the famous dancer Isadora Duncan, helps him in this. She still retained warm feelings for her "golden-headed boy" and intends to arrange for him a bright future in America.
Following Isadora's instructions, Sergei leaves Moscow and goes to Leningrad. There he must change to a train to Riga, from where it will be easy to get to the border with Germany. But the plans of the lovers are not destined to come true. Arriving in the city on the Neva, Yesenin finds himself in an incredible circle of events. GPU officers and bandits, corrupt women and admirers of talent stand in the way of the poet. The man thinks that he is being followed. He is confident that his life is in grave danger.
