During an interview with ComicBook.com, actress Jamie King commented on the upcoming season:
"The only thing. what I can tell you is that in the new season none of the things that you expect will happen. Not a single fan theory will be confirmed. From start to finish the episode will keep you on your toes. The season will delve deeper into the psychology of the characters and answer the question: does each hero have some kind of ulterior motive? Every time I read the script, I never ceased to be amazed at what I just read. "

Interesting Facts
Did you know that:
- Season 1 was released on April 11, 2019.
- Almost all members of the film crew have already worked together in the multi-part sci-fi action movie "Nation Z" (2014-2018). Earlier it was rumored that Black Summer was the prequel to Nation Z. But Jamie King made it clear in one interview that the new project has nothing to do with the series: “In fact, I have never watched 'Z Nation' or heard about this series. But I have friends who really love this show. And then different people started talking and writing that it was very similar to the Z-Nation prequel. In fact, the projects have nothing in common: no events, no characters. "
- Actor Sal Velez Jr. was very worried to learn that his character would die in the last episodes. He even compared it to the death of Jon Snow from the legendary Game of Thrones and suggested that he might also return in new episodes. “I know a lot of people would like to see William. But I do not write and do not create it, and I am not even allowed to say whether I am dead or not, "said Veles Jr.
There is no exact date for the release of the series and the trailer for the second season of the series "Black Summer" (2020). You may have to wait until 2021, when all the filming of new episodes is completed.
