Plot

A female scientist from New York leaves the metropolis for a serene life on remote islands on the Atlantic coast with her son. She quickly falls in love with the secluded island and its inhabitants, who are descendants of a centuries-old group of African slaves. But her world begins to crumble when the souls of the dead islanders haunt her in her dreams and even in real life.
