Alexey Chupov and Natalya Merkulova have started production of a new film - the crime thriller Captain Volkonogov Fled with Yuri Borisov in the title role. The tape received state support, as it was selected from 76 film projects presented at the pitching of auteur cinema at the end of August 2020. About the plot
Captain Fyodor Volkonogov serves in law enforcement. Once he himself is declared a criminal, but Fedor manages to escape without waiting for arrest. Overnight, he turns into an outcast, and former colleagues follow in his footsteps. Suddenly, a messenger from the other world appears to Fedor and warns that he has only a day left to live, and after death he will go to Hell for eternal torment. However, Fyodor has the opportunity to enter Paradise if he repents, and at least one person will forgive him. Volkonogov sets off in search of forgiveness, but along the way, many trials await him.
