Film company Constantin Film has announced a new film based on the universe "Resident Evil" (Resident Evil). This is a reboot based on the first two video games in the series and set in 1998 in Raccoon City. In the director's chair is Johannes Roberts, who has already managed to shoot several striking horror films, however, none of them has a high rating. Plot

The film will tell about the events of the first and second part of the series. Events will unfold back in 1998 on the fateful night in Raccoon City.

Characters:

• Kaia Scodelario has officially landed the role of Claire Redfield. She is the younger sister of Chris Redfield. It won't take her long to get to Raccoon City and find that the city is overrun with zombies. this makes her quest even more difficult than she expected. During her time in Raccoon City, she meets William Birkin and Leon S. Kennedy.
• Hannah John-Kamen was cast as Jill Valentine in the first game.
• Robbie Amell will portray Chris Redfield, Claire's brother. In the first video game, Chris is a member of the Raccoon City Special Tactics and Rescue Service (STARS). He and his partner Jill Valentine are sent to the virus-infected city on a rescue mission. After fighting off Wesker's prototype design, he sets out to destroy the Umbrella Corporation and subsequently becomes the mainstay of the franchise.
• Albert Wesker is one of the most evil characters in the entire franchise. In the film, Tom Hopper will portray this sadist. Now the actor has the opportunity to demonstrate his ability to play a true villain. Wesker tries to isolate the T-Virus and use it to experiment on others in the hopes of creating a race of superhumans. He originally started out as a minor character, but quickly developed into one of the most iconic antagonists of the entire franchise.
• Evan Jogia will play the iconic character Leon S. Kennedy, who will assist Claire Redfield in her search for her brother.
• Neil McDonough will play William Birkin, the reboot's main villain. He is responsible for the destruction of Raccoon City after completing his experiment with the G-Virus. Birkin injects himself with the virus and transforms into a monstrous zombie creature known as "G". As he continues to mutate, he seeks out Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy, hoping to destroy them and get revenge.

• The reboot of the franchise was announced when Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) was still in theaters.
• Johannes Roberts told Screen Rant that the reboot will be "super-super scary," closer to the original games.
