We've got everything you need to know about Narco: Mexico Season 3, set to release in 2021 or even 2022, as fans had to wait two full years for Season 2. It won't be possible to watch the trailer soon.
Rating: KinoPoisk - 7.9, IMDb - 8.4.
Plot
Season 2 ended unsuccessfully for Felix Gallardo, who was thrown behind bars for killing Kiki. But when the drug lord is finally behind bars and no longer has leverage over the government, what happens next? After all, the story of the fight against Mexican drug dealers is not fully told.
Diego Luna stated:
“My character is in a prison, but I know there are prisons in Mexico, which are actually offices where you can still work. You just need to open the news. You can often find news about escapes. And recently there was one case where prisoners escaped quite easily through the front door. So "in jail" does not necessarily mean that you are out of business and no longer do business outside. "
Netflix's official synopsis states:
The action takes place in the 90s, when the globalization of the drug business takes place. Season 3 takes a close look at the war that erupted after the split of Felix's empire. As new independent cartels struggle to survive in the face of political upheaval and violence, a new generation of Mexican authorities is emerging. But in this war, truth is the first victim, and each arrest and murder only postpones a real victory.

Project showrunner Eric Newman said:
“As I always say, we will continue as long as we are allowed to, and as long as the war with drug lords rages. And this, as you know, has no end in sight. But I would be lying if I said that I thought a lot about what will happen next with our show. I've always had a pretty clear idea of where we would end up. That's all I can say about the third season. But this is definitely something that we are actively discussing within the company. "
“By the time we had to catch up with the present, it will no longer be present. These will be sad chapters in an ongoing story that will become the past. By the time we get to 2020, we would have so much new material to regenerate and we could continue until it expires. ”
With Gallardo behind bars, Eric Newman suggested that the next drug lord to take center stage could be Amado Carrillo Fuentes, who seized control of the Juarez cartel after assassinating his boss Rafael Aguilar Guajardo.
